Have You Forgotten Your Position of Authority?

We are in a position of authority as believers in Jesus. How do you effectively put that to use?

Today, in our Facebook group, I posted the following:

Remember whose you are. The devil wants you to be so focused on your condition that you forget your position! Ephesians 2:6  #DaughterOfTheKing  #SeatedWithHim

The deception of the enemy is to get you focused on anything but Jesus, and most especially on anything that would make you doubt God’s love for you. So often we get distracted by our current circumstances and forget the inherent supernatural power and authority we have.

Proof of Your Position and Power

“He raised us up with Him and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King.”
 Ephesians 2:6 VOICE

“Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.”
Luke 10:19 AMP

“He lets us rule as kings and serve God his Father as priests. To him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.”
Revelation 1:6 CEV

It’s clear that with Jesus as our Savior, we are positioned to maintain a seat of authority. He wants us to use the throne rights that He has freely given to us.

Use Your Authority

Take Authority over DistractionAs soon as you notice that your focus is off of how God loves you and wants you to live boldly, do a mental and spiritual reset. Follow the direction given in 1 Peter 5:9 AMP:

“Be quick to cast out the devil at his onset.”

Be quick to reset and re-focus quickly. Say (aloud) what God has said about your situation. You have the authority to do so. Do not give in to fear. Fear gives the devil a place to work. Instead, believe the Word. Be active in the realm of authority you have in Christ.

What can you do today to speak and act from your position of power in Jesus?
