The Struggle of Infertility is REAL but So Is His Grace–Don’t Give Up!

The struggle of infertility may seem insurmountable but God’s grace is bigger AND more powerful. Here’s help so you don’t give up.

Many times during infertility, you feel like you’re about to fall apart (usually monthly). There is probably no one else in your life who truly understands what you’re going through, so talking to others about it can be difficult, unproductive, and very frustrating. That frustration can make you choose to just suffer silently. THAT is not a good choice! When you’re trying to hold all that emotion inside of you, it’s only a matter of time before you start to feel like you’ll explode. That explosion is sometimes expressed in anger, self-pity, sadness, bitterness, self-condemnation, depression, and many other destructive ways.

BUT, there is One who can help!

The struggle of infertility is NOT too big for Jesus.

In the midst of the all the pain and asking, “Why me?”, Jesus is the One who is capable of understanding this situation and helping you to get through it without falling apart. Colossians 1:17 [NIV] says, “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. ” His love and grace are available everyday to comfort and guide you through the struggle so the negative emotions don’t overtake you and make you feel like everything is falling apart.

Look to Him today and on a daily basis. Trust His hands to hold you and to keep things in your life held together.

Let Him hold your whole world in His hands.

You can find more encouragement, comfort, and peace in my book, A Seed of Hope: God’s Promise of Fertility.

  2. Hi Evangeline,
it`s been a long time since I`ve written you. This post describes me perfectly. Tomorrow I have been married for seven years, and no baby. It really is heartbreaking.
I`ll battle my emotions every month, because feelings come and go don`t they? But usually I lose, and I end up in a heap on the floor wondering if it will ever stop. What if this is what the rest of my life looks like? Only destruction, despair and depression?
I actually scared of never ever becoming happy again, and I feel worn out.
After 7 years of infertility I don`t even think that I know what it is like to have a normal life anymore.
I read the Bible and pray and sing everyday desperate for this to change. I am desperate for a breakthrough. I am reading your bible plan on YouVersion as well.
I don`t want to through IVF, I want a supernatural miracle! So God can have all the glory for my children!!!!
But will I be able to wait this out? It is hard, so hard.
Thank you, for keeping up with hope filled writing, I check your blog often for updates and testimonies.

    1. Elisabeth, I know it’s been a hard journey for you. I recently read something that I hope will uplift you:
“Time spent with God is never wasted. Continually HEARING the Word liberates you from the bondage and contamination of the devil.”
HEARING God’s Word builds our faith (Romans 10:17).Find Scriptures that are specifically about joy and about God’s love. Read them out loud to yourself everyday. Allow those words to penetrate your mind and heart and they will begin to make a difference in how you view life.
Remember too, YOUR words are important (Proverbs 18:21). What are you consistently saying about your future?

    1. You’re welcome Trish! Praying that you’re walking with high expectation of good and great gifts from Jesus…the One who loves you like no other!
